I had a REALLY bad experience in terms of things not working. There was no hot water, nor air conditioning, and it was HOT outside. This was mostly due to circumstances beyond control of the hotel manager, so, I get that. What was NOT good initially was that there was no communication, either spontaneously, or even when I asked for help "to make the air-con work"... and that was deeply disappointing. Just avoiding the topic does not make it go away! HOWEVER, the hotel manager, the next morning took responsibility, said sorry, and offered a FULL REFUND, without my even asking. So... a rare event these days, and most gratefully received. Mnogo blagodarya, Kristina!

I liked how cozy and neat the hotel was and also how polite the staff was. They gave us quick and clear answers to our questions, and we also received a free ride to the airport, which was more than great. The driver was so friendly & kind regardless of the early hour. I am confident that I will be there again in the near future. 😁

I stayed here on the final night of a trip through Bulgaria, so that I could easily catch an early morning flight home. A couple of notes. In principle, you can walk to this hotel from SOF Terminal 1 - there is a park through which you can walk that takes you basically across the street, as long as that street is not busy at that hour, you can get across. They do have a shuttle, but you need to arrange for it in advance. Note that some bus lines will also drop you off at Terminal 1 if desired, and so for instance I was able to easily get to this airport from Veliko Tarnovo by bus and then to the hotel. They were great about having a shuttle for me and several other travelers catching early flights. The hospitality was very good. The rooms are basic but comfortable. The restaurant is actually very good - they made a lovely chicken kavarma and really good cheesecake. Overall, this was a great value and definitely met the need of an airport hotel.

The room is a decent size. I have stayed here several times, so, I know what to expect. The bathroom is clean. There is a desk, good WiFi and places to hang your clothes, as well as a place to put your suitcase. There are even shelves for clothes if you stay for a longer time. This is the best choice for a hotel if you want to be near the airport and to leave your car while you travel. The cost of long lerm parking at the hotel is very competative with other off-site airport parking, plus there is free shuttle service to the airport. I had a very early flight so the hotel provided a "breakfast" for me to take to the airport.

I had a very good experience at the Ibis Hotel in Sofia. They have a free shuttle bus that takes you to the airport whenever you want, you just need to book in advance at the reception. It's nice because it's very quiet. You can sleep in a nice comfortable bed, they have good showers. They also have shampoo and shower gel. They also have good aircon and most of the time the hotel is quiet, so you can sleep well. They also have a restaurant with some good food as well. I'd like to thank the Ibis Hotel because they helped me when I needed to get home and I had some difficulties. The reception helped me and they also provided me with a breakfast pack, which included a muffin, 2 oranges, a water bottle and a cheese sandwich because my flight was at 6 o'clock in the morning and I had to leave at 4 am. But they had breakfast packed ready for me so I had it when I was at the airport waiting to check in.

This is a large hotel where a very small and friendly staff try their best to make you have a lovely time. There is free parking for 3 hours enough to drop your suitcase off before taking the car back to the airport. There is also parking at reasonable cost. The food in the restaurant area is good quality and hot if a little expensive. The breakfast is also well done for the number of guests. There is good WiFi. They are happy to greet you at any time of the day and it has a 24hour bar.

Very nice room for a layover by the airport. Hotel provides airport shuttle to and from the airport and wake up service. Very comfortable bed and free water provided. Also good selection and quality food in restaurant of the hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff :)
